Weight Loss Success Story
In Livia’s words: ”I am not new to the concept of boot camps, as I had participated in three back-to-back sessions last summer. When I met Jill, – through friends who were already in her boot camp – I was well aware of the positive aspects of working out outside regularly. Rain or shine.
Something was different however, and the results are unbelievable. I quickly realized, that Jill’s approach is much more holistic than the other instructors’ I had worked with before. Her goal is to teach and inspire every participant to become healthier, stronger and leaner. It is about positive feedback and a fun environment, where everyone works hard together. We moan, we whine, but we keep doing it, because Jill believes in us. I love the fact, that the bar is always just a little bit higher than what I thought I could jump over.
My workout regimen consisted of running two to three times and attending Jill’s boot camp twice a week. I was feeling pretty strong, when about a month into it Jill announced that she is planning a 6-week Body Challenge. It was exactly what I needed. I had been working hard and felt great, but was not at all satisfied with the way my body looked. If I am working out so much, how come that my body is not lighter or tighter? I was in need of an intervention and my competitive side was intrigued by the “challenge.” I joined. The first and only commitment we had to make was with ourselves. We had to write down our very specific goals and make a promise to work out at least 5 times a week, plus follow a reasonable diet.
Jill was super helpful all along. Beyond the weekly check-ins, cooking recipes and friendly exchange of ideas, she was available to us at any time via text, phone or email. I even felt the support at work, when I had to sit through meetings with a bunch of donuts, or a key lime pie across from me on the table. I could text her and get instant reinforcement, that not touching the pie IS the right thing to do.
No magic pill here: the combination of workouts and healthy eating did the trick. The contract I signed with myself stated 12 lbs lost in 6 weeks, one dress size down and of course to lower my body fat level and lose a few inches. I could hardly believe my results. It has now been two months and I am still following the rules. I have lost 17 lbs, two dress sizes and am not done yet.
I have recently discovered something shocking on my body: I have developed a very distinctive 4-pack. Me, a 35 year old office worker with a family, has a stomach she can be proud of. And all this without ever feeling deprived. I eat healthy 80% of the time, and I work out. That is it. So simple and yet I could have never done it without Jill’s guidance. Thank you, I can’t wait to see where this new approach in life will take me.”

Livia, you look awesome. I know exactly how you feel and am certain that you will never go backwards again. Anyone can do it – just takes commitment and helps heaps if you have great support around you – such as Jill. Wish I did not live on the other side of the world. Would certainly be training with Jill if I had the opportunity. Well done!
