Have you thought about your dream life?
Hey there. Hope your day is off to a great start. I’ve just returned from my 4 day leadership trip to Mexico. WOW! Its was an incredible trip. I earned this trip through Advocare. Advocare is a health and wellness company and a little over 6 months ago I endorsed this company and their products. I am in love with so many of the products and have numerous clients achieving huge weight loss and strength goals with Advocare nutrition.
The 4 day trip was hosted by my mentors in Advocare, Joel and Jackie Holcomb. During this trip they had many projects for us. These projets (or homework as I called it) were designed to help us visualize and think about our own life dreams. I’m a person who sets goal, but this was different. We had workbooks that asked us to write out our 5 and 10 year goals without holding back. Dream as big as you can.
We each spent a few hours to complete the workbooks and on the last day we sat down and shared our workbook with our mentor.
What this did for me was show me exactly my life vision. I can now see what it is I want, why I want it, and how I plan to get there. I’m sharing this with you today in the hopes you will do this same exercise with yourself.
Today I woke up and quickly scanned my workbook. It gave a brand new motivation as to why I get up at 4:30am everyday…..its because I have a dream and doing what I’m doing today and everyday after this will get me to where I want to be.
The key is to know where you want to be. If you don’t know then you kinda just walk through the motions everyday. However, if you know exactly what you want and you are excited about that your whole being changes. You are motivated and you take action.
I’m asking you to try this and see what starts to happen with yourself. Its amazing.
Lastly, I’m going to leave you with an excerpt from a book I was reading on my way back to Seattle last night:
“the responsibility for your situation is yours. You are where you are because of your thinking. Your thinking dictates your decisions. Decisions are choices. Years ago, you chose where you would attend college. You chose your course of study. You chose the companies to which you would send a resume. YOu chose the one which you would work. Somewhere during that time, you chose to go to a party or a play or a ball game……”
I think you can get the point. Until a person takes responsibility for where he is, there is no basis for moving on. The bad news is that the past was in your hands, but the good news is that the future is also in your hands.
The book is called : The Travelers Gift and I highly recommend it.
Perhaps you can take a moment now to start thinking about what it is you want in life and how you plan to get there. This can be a long process that may take you a few days to really nail down. I was lucky enough to have an entire day on the beaches of Mexico to write out my plan and am very excited about the direction I am taking.
any questions about this please leave a comment here and I will respond. Or perhaps you want to share with us some of your life goals:)
Have a super day and don’t be afraid to dream big!

This is intriguing and certainly true. I’d love to see the worksheets as the problem I have is figuring out how to get there and how to have the courage for that first step.
I will post the questions we had to answer in my next blog post
